About Us

 Welcome to DIGI Academies!

We are a nonprofit provider of accredited early childhood education, before and after school care, and summer camp with flexible programs, for children ages eight weeks old through twelve years.   A vital aspect of our program is our commitment to multicultural and social justice education.  We carefully create an environment that reflects not only the cultures of the families we serve but the world around us. 

DIGI Academies mission is to provide a warm and encouraging environment that enhances self-concept, instills basic moral values, encourages social interaction, and enriches awareness of the natural and cultural world.

We’re a warm and loving community of preschoolers, teachers, and parents who inspire imagination, creativity and play for every learner. In an environment rooted in respect and compassion, we strive to nourish each child's spirit, foster his or her natural sense of wonder, and provide a protective space for him or her to grow.

Our preschool is City School District of Albany Expanded Prekindergarten based.  We also incorporate National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) educational philosophies concerning developmentally appropriate learning environments. The classroom is designed to meet the needs of the children’s sensitive periods of learning. The children are encouraged to choose work and activities that interest them from a wide range of materials throughout the classroom and outdoor learning centers. As the children make their choices in our carefully prepared multi-sensory environment, they develop intellectual, emotional, and social skills, as well as a positive self-image.
